Blue Ribbon Kind of Day

Today was Paige's first horseshow. She & I left at 8:00 am to meet up with her trainer Nicole Miller. Paige and I were in the car - She was excited yet nervous. The trip started out very quiet. While traveling, this soft but nervous voice from the backseat says....Mommy I can only remember two things about horses; the girth and the bit. I asked Paige to tell me what they meant.....She knew what those words meant. Her mind was just racing to review things she had been learning over the past few months. Paige is on Justin (the horse) while Annette (033) and Nicole (the trainer) review and make minor changes to the saddle.

I was very proud to watch Paige ride the horse. She is so shy and for her to get up in front of a strange crowd - this is simply amazing...she is amazing. Most of all she loves Justin and loves doing this more than dance, piano, or sports.

She did a fabulous job and she Won her first event! Say WHAT?!?!?

She received a monkey and a blue ribbon. The first thing she said "the monkey is for Tori!"

Second event - the Cake Walk.....You ask why is it called the cake walk???? Because the prize is a cake....Yes this is true. Guess What....Paige won this event too. All ages participated. This was a first for Nicole too. She has never won the cake walk event!!! Yeah !!!

You had a great day Paige!
Mommy, Daddy, Josh, Tori, Omi, Opa, LTP, Big Papa, Erickie were all very very proud of you. Always smile and have fun!
We love you!
